Apple Pages 4.1

Apple Pages 4.1 is the 18th version and one of the newest versions of Page, a word processor software with page layout function too for Apple devices with Mac OS X and iOS operating systems. This is also part of the iWork productivity suite with easy to use interface and tools to create document files. This application also has pre-designed templates available with various themes to select from, which include letters, outlines, resumes, flyers, envelopes and posters, located at the Template Chooser tool. Like other word processors, a user can insert images aside from texts on the documents simply by drag and drop function using the Media Browser. In fact, this browser enables a user to access different kinds of media to iPhoto, iMovie, iTunes as well as Aperture. It also imports documents from other applications such as Microsoft Word documents. Pages 4.1 was released on July 20, 2011 which featured support for Mac OS X Lion with auto save, full screen, and character picker. This version was succeeded by Pages 4.2 exactly a year after the release of the 4.1 version.

EZ Freeware Free Opener allows users to: open and to edit Microsoft Office documents and worksheets such as DOC, DOCX, CSV, XLS and XLSX without the need to install Microsoft Office; play audio files such as MP3, WAV, MID, WMV, etc.; watch videos of files such as AVI, MP4, MPG, MOV, FLV, WMV, etc.; open, edit and print image files like JPEG, PNG, TIFF, RAW, BMP, GIF, ICO, etc.; and open RAR, ZIP, PPT and more than 80 other files. PAGES files can be opened using Apple Pages for Mac, EZ Freeware Free Opener for Windows and Zamzar for Web, and Apple Pages is a feature of Apple iWork suite.

Apple TextEdit

Apple TextEdit is a text editor program and an open-source word processor too, which is first used in NeXTSTEP and OPENSTEP, but now integrated in most recent versions of Mac OS X. It is also considered a GNUstep application for other operating systems that are Unix based, like Linux computers. This program is operated by Advanced Typography by Apple so expect several advanced typography related features. The main function of this software is to read and write documents in plain text, HTML formats, Rich Text Format, and Rich Text Format Directory. It can also open Simple Text files but does not have the capability to save documents of that format. Mac OS X version 10.3 supports Microsoft Word documents, while Mac OS X version 10.4 can open and save Word documents in XML file. Mac OS X version 10.5 is able to read and write Office Open XML as well as OpenDocument Text. Features included on TextEdit are formatted text support, addition of graphics, animations and other multi-media contents, automatic adjustment of letter spacing, as well as reading and writing support of character encodings.
