DivX Player

DivX Player is a media player developed by DivX, Inc. to let people play high quality videos in a quick and convenient way. DivX movies and DVD movies has no difference in quality of pictures, but DivX file is limited to 1/10 the size which is good for your bandwidth in downloading the file on the Internet. DivX movie can also be copied to CD but it needs a high quality DVD because AC3 or MP3 audio is usually combined for a high quality audio and video. DivX player enables you to compress and decompress video in the DivX format when DivX player codec has been installed and also, it enables you to watch DivX videos through Windows Media Player or other player that supports the software. It has a built-in 5.1CH AC3 Dolby decoder and progressive scanning output. The software can only consume up to 25W of power, and functions on super error correction. Furthermore, DivX is perfect for audio and video perfomance and is fully compatible with XVID, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD, CD, VCD, SVCD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3, WMA and picture CD.

DivX 7 for Mac

DivX Player for Mac was introduced on 25 May 2006 and is a separate player that plays DivX encoded files and DivX Media Format features like multiple audio tracks, subtitles and DivX VOD content. This is a freeware where everything you need in enjoying high-quality digital videoes on your own computer is provided. MKV files encoded with H.264 video and AAC audio is also compatible with this player, but it has no burn engine or services for moving videos to USB. It can manage certified DivX devices to facilitate playback of purchased or protected content, and contains media manager through a video library window. You can also play any file supported by QuickTime, and even play the videos as a desktop background. You can also control the video with its Mouse gestures, and can do rushed playback of MP3 audio with MPEG-4 ASP vidoe and DivX Plus files. This software is enhanced for Mac OS X 10.4/10.5 and Intel Mac.
