COM+ is software that was developed by Microsoft which was designed to deliver a model which can aid in the creation of different business applications which is deemed compatible with Microsoft MTS using Windows NT or succeeding systems. It was defined as an extension of COM which was also developed by Microsoft. It provides its users with an event registry system which allows different components to get notifications once a certain process is done which in turn can have other programs working subsequently with each other which at the same time ensures that it follows the correct workflow. COM+ has the ability of providing its users with the security with means of intercepting of selected system requests.
