Scrivener is a program specifically made for word processing purposes which was developed by Keith Blount and Lee Powell. It aims to provide its users with a system that can be used in managing notes, metadata as well as document. It has the capability of organizing concepts, notes and researching for the documents and at the same time giving its users the capability of accessing the documents easier and referencing. Some of its features include a built-in corkboard which is a compilation of index cards which can be accessed virtually which stores the synopsis of the user’s documents. It includes outlining features which help the user in taking control of structuring of the work done. It also has a scriptwriting mode which is being used for formatting of stage plays and gives it user the capability of setting up different script formats.
