To manage data about chemical substances from European Union (EU) member states, IUCLID 5 or version 5 of the International Uniform Chemical Information Database is used. IUCLID 5 is a tool where updated information and historical data about chemical substances can be stored and accessed by members. This allows efficient chemical data exchange systems. Its database has an arsenal of many types of information that users can access when searching for data about certain chemical substances. IUCLID 5 is integrated with a unique feature where the implementation of inventory lists has been added to include the following: AReference Substance Inventory; and EC Inventory, which is a chemical identification catalogue. This tool has also been proven by many users to be simple and easy to use, primarily because a support team that handles problems encountered when a user cannot access the database is available. IUCLID 5 can likewise be installed in Windows-based computers.
