Hi Aldert,

Newfolder.exe is a nasty computer virus. It shares many similarities with other common cyber infections, but it does have some unique peculiarities. It tends to slither its way into your system via means of deceit, more often than not, by using USB drives.
Please follow the below steps to resolve the issue.

Step 1. The newfolder.exe virus disabled your taskmanager, that’s why you need to manually write these commands

Simultaneously press the Windows Logo Button and then “R” to open the Run Command Window

Type the commands one by one and hit Enter after each one.
  • taskkill /f /t /im “New Folder.exe”
  • taskkill /f /t /im “SCVVHSOT.exe”
  • taskkill /f /t /im “SCVHSOT.exe”
  • taskkill /f /t /im “scvhosts.exe”
  • taskkill /f /t /im “hinhem.scr”
  • taskkill /f /t /im “blastclnnn.exe”

Step 2. Enable Task Manager and Regedit

Simultaneously press the Windows Logo Button and then “R” to open the Run Command Window
Type the commands one by one and hit Enter after each one.
  • reg add HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
  • reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
  • reg add HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
  • reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

Step 3. Enable View Hidden Files

Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, go to Control Panel, find Appearance and Personalization, and then click on Folder Options. Click on the View tab. Under Advanced settings, check Show hidden files, folders, and drives, and then click OK.
go to the following directories and delete the malware files
  • C:\WINDOWS\SCVVHSOT.exe
  • C:\WINDOWS\SCVHSOT.exe
  • C:\WINDOWS\hinhem.scr
  • C:\WINDOWS\system32\SCVHSOT.exe
  • C:\WINDOWS\system32\blastclnnn.exe
  • C:\WINDOWS\system32\autorun.ini
  • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\SCVHSOT.exe
We recommend to use a free scanner of any professional antimalware program to double check if the infection is removed and to prevent this from happening again.

I hope this helps.

Regards,
Lokesh
