Autodesk 3ds Max 2013 is a software that has specialized toolsets for gamedevelopers motion and visual effects artists. One of its tools is the 3D modeling, where users can create parametric and organic objects, with a Graphire modeling toolset that has 100 advanced polygonal modeling and freeform 3D design tools. It features Shading and texturing with a wide collection of mapping, texture painting and layering options. users can perform creative texture mapping like decal placement and spline mapping, they can also edit complex shading hierarchies, and use Viewport Canvas toolset to paint multiple layers in any maps. It features an animation that helps make believable, life-like characters. It has skit modifier and CAT muscle, 3ds Max bones inverse kinematics solvers and rigging tools that are customizable. By using its high performance toolsets, users can create dynamics effects and simulation. Through 3D rendering, users can achieve optimum image quality that gives predictable, photorealistic results. The Data transfer and Pipeline Integration enables users to import data from several sources, and also transfer 3ds Max and 3dsMax design data to users, locations, file iterations and software applications. This software also encourages Collaborative Workflows in which users can share date in complex scenes and lets others contribute to the task.
The Cal3d2ogre is an exporter that converts geometry, skeletons, animations and materials from binary and XML CAL3D files. Files such as cmf, csf, caf, crf, xmf, xsf, xaf, xrf, Ogre3D mesh, skeleton and material file formats without the need to install another tool. It can perform parses on CAL#D config files, it outputs Binary and XML files, and it gives the option to keep +Z axis as up. Cal3d2ogre keeps UV mapping, converts normals and LODs, and can perform manual scaling on the resulting mesh. It also features a selectable triangle winding for output. The software is compiled on the Windows platform and further development is made for it to be a cross-platform and be available for Mac and Linux. There are options for mesh processing in Cal3d2ogre, some includes producing a binary output instead of XML files, this process involves creating an XML mesh as the output for editing. In this option, users may opt to get a binary file output. The scale factor is also a part of the mesh process. This method though, is limited because users cannot provide different scaling for each. Many other options are available in the software, not only for mesh processing but for other methods as well.
The Web Depo Inc. has developed Affirm Transcript Editor software also known as XAF file or .xaf file which stores rich text and verbal testimony of a witness recorded in a courtroom. It is used in creating deposition transcripts and stores digital evidences. This application used often by lawyers to create deposition transcripts during their legal proceedings. It also enables lawyers in storing digital evidences during litigation. Windows operating system can open .xaf files. To allow other lawyers to participate in the instantaneous deposition testimony (which also incorporates the videos and testimonials encoded to a steno machine by the stenographer) at the same time, the company has developed basic format of the Web Depositions to the lawyer's home office or their Web server. Though lawyers are not physically present in the Testimony room, they can still even participate fully in a Legal Deposition through the developer's Virtual deposition software.
