Applied Biosystems GeneMapper

A combination of the functions of GeneScan analysis software and the Genotyper software along with its added features and software enhancements, the GeneMapper, a genotyping automated sofware solution caters to database analysis, forensic, paternity and other need of genotyping. It is developed specifically for AmpFlSTR data analysis, but it is also able to carry out other microsatellite and SNP analysis. Data created from ABI PRISM instruments like the 310 Genetic Analyzer, 377 DNA Sequencer, 3100-avant Genetic Analyzer and 3100 Genetic Analyzer are all supported by the GeneMapper software. But for Macintosh users with data generated from 310 Genetic analyzer and 377 DNA Sequencer should convert into Microsoft Windows format so that it can be used and is compatible with the GeneMapper software. This software is also specifically designed to support AmpFlSTR kits and reagents such as the Identifiler PCR Amplification Kit, the SGM Plus PCR Amplification Kit, the Profiler Plus PCR Amplification Kit, the Profiler Plus ID PCR Amplification Kit, the COfiler PCR Amplification Kit, the SEfiler PCR Amplification Kit, the Profiler PCR Amplification Kit, the Blue PCR Amplification Kit, and the Green PCR Amplification Kit. Users with human identification laboratories, who will use this application for data analysis should carry out their own developmental verification studies because this version haven't went through a specific developmental validation for human identification (HID) applications.
