Version 7 of the xyAlgebra software is the latest release of this program, which is generally classified as an educational tool for learning algebra. The xyAlgebra application was developed with support for computers that are running on compatible versions of Microsoft Windows. An instructional material with 350 items are integrated into this software, and these 350 items explain basic algebra fundamentals and principles. Sample problems are also implemented as step by step practice sets that users can use as reference while viewing the instructional items. The random generation of these practice sets are among the features of xyAlgebra which can enhance the learning experience of users, and since these practice sets are displayed in a step by step process, most users conveniently learn basic algebraic expressions and calculations through these sample problems. When users implement a wrong step in solving a sample problem, xyAlgebra immediately flags the errors, in order for the user to quickly learn from his or her mistakes. Suggestions or hints about recommended steps for solving specific problems are also implemented into xyAlgebra, and these can be requested by users while the problems are displayed in the User Interface (UI) of this software.
