Libronix Digital Library System
Libronix Digital Library System
Previously known as the Logos Library System from 1995 to 2001, the present version of the Libronix Digital Library System provides a feature-rich platform for Windows OS users to store, label, convert, organize, and preview their collection of eBooks on theology and spirituality, including a digitized copy of the Holy Bible with Greek and Hebrew texts added. Developed by Logos Research Systems, Inc. in the early 1990s, this electronic library management tool comes with supplementary features, such as an updated lexicon for archaic terms and theological concepts frequently mentioned in the Good Book. The Libronix DLS also provides a chronological view of Biblical history, detailed descriptions of religious traditions and cultural practices, and factual information about people, places, and events. The software installs a desktop client into workstations with a minimum of 512 MB RAM and 550 HD space from an installation package downloaded from the Web or from a CD-ROM or DVD installer disc.
The updated Logos Bible Software is now available as a fifth-generation version of the Libronix DLS which is a Windows-only application that displays the digitized Bible's English translation alongside its original text in Greek and Hebrew. This desktop viewer also comes with a comprehensive guide for Bible study and reflection. Its features include historical information of places and events in the Bible, geographical charts and maps of the Roman Empire and the whole Middle East, and a Passage Guide that cross-reference scholarly articles and theological papers. The Bible Sense Lexicon searches and finds associated meanings of archaic words or phrases in Greek, Hebrew, and English dictionaries. In addition, this software also works as a lightweight library management tool of eBooks and other digital literature. Users can search for specific books based on the author's last name or specific keywords in the titles.
Be careful not to rename the extension on .lsf files, or any other files. This will not change the file type. Only special conversion software can change a file from one file type to another.
what is a file extension?
A file extension is the set of three or four characters at the end of a filename; in this case, .lsf. File extensions tell you what type of file it is, and tell Windows what programs can open it. Windows often associates a default program to each file extension, so that when you double-click the file, the program launches automatically. When that program is no longer on your PC, you can sometimes get an error when you try to open the associated file.
