You're here because you have a file that has a file extension ending in .trd. Files with the file extension .trd can only be launched by certain applications. It's possible that .trd files are data files rather than documents or media, which means they're not meant to be viewed at all.

A TrID definitions package file contains a library of definitions used by the TrID software, and these TrID definitions package files are integrated with data encoding specifications used for generating files stored in the TRD format. The content of these TrID definitions package files are also implemented with text data compilation standards used to append these TRD files with the .trd extension, and the content of these TrID definitions package files include details of different file types and definitions associated to each of those file types that can be used by the TrID program to determine the exact file type of certain files processed through this application. The TrID software uses the binary signatures formatted into files entered by users into this program for processing, and this program is required to do this in order to specifically pinpoint the file types of those files. These TrID definitions package files are saved as individual files, and the file type definitions stored in these TrID definitions package files can be updated by downloading newer versions of these TRD files.

Launch a .trd file, or any other file on your PC, by double-clicking it. If your file associations are set up correctly, the application that's meant to open your .trd file will open it. It's possible you may need to download or purchase the correct application. It's also possible that you have the correct application on your PC, but .trd files aren't yet associated with it. Be careful not to rename the extension on .trd files, or any other files. This will not change the file type. Only special conversion software can change a file from one file type to another.

A file extension is the set of three or four characters at the end of a filename; in this case, .trd. File extensions tell you what type of file it is, and tell Windows what programs can open it.
